With The Last Rise, you can perform this stunning effect without any electronics, sleight of hand, or the dreaded thread breakage (we all know how that goes).
Simply fan the deck in front of your spectator and have them think of two cards. You pop the deck back in the box (and at this point, you’ve got no clue which cards they’re thinking of). Spectator one names their card, and voilà! It starts to rise majestically from the middle of the pack. Just to clarify, we’re talking about a single card rising, not a whole block (don’t get too excited).
And as a cheeky second phase, you give it a wave, and their first selection instantly transforms into the second thought-of card!
