ANNIHILATION
The magician displays a deck of cards, confidently stating it holds two predictions. A spectator makes a completely free choice (really!), and that card is set aside, unseen by anyone. The magician then pulls out his two prediction cards, claiming they’ll reveal the value and suit of the selected card.
Imagine the predictions are the Five of Spades and the Queen of Diamonds. The chosen card is flipped over to reveal the Eight of Clubs—not even close to either prediction. Looks like a flop, right? Wrong! The Five and the Queen are turned face down, and surprise, surprise—one has an Eight sketched on its back, and the other features a Club!

And let’s not forget the mind-boggling Card At Any Number effect, CONVERGENCE. The magician sets the stage with two decks: one red, one blue. The blue deck sits in front of a spectator and never gets touched again. The red deck, however, is taken out and shown to have unique numbers on the back of each card. A second spectator names ANY card (no kidding!). Let’s say it’s the Two of Diamonds. This card is pulled from the red deck, and another card is randomly selected to reveal its number (let’s say it’s 29).
Now the spectator opens the blue deck and counts down 29 cards... Sure enough, the 29th card is the Two of Diamonds!
