ANNIHILATION
The magician presents a deck of cards, proudly declaring that it holds two predictions. A card is chosen at random (truly random!) and hidden away. Neither the magician nor the spectator gets a glimpse of this card. The magician then pulls out his two prediction cards, claiming they’ll reveal the chosen card’s value and suit.
Imagine the predictions are the Five of Spades and the Queen of Diamonds. The selected card is revealed to be the Eight of Clubs—no connection to either prediction. Disaster, right? Not quite! The Five and the Queen are flipped over, revealing an Eight and a Club drawn on their backs!

And don’t forget the mind-boggling Card At Any Number effect, CONVERGENCE. The magician embarks on a fate experiment with two decks of cards; one red and one blue. The blue deck is placed in front of a spectator and goes untouched. The red deck is revealed to have a different number on the back of each card. A second spectator names ANY card (yes, really!). Let’s say it’s the Two of Diamonds. This card is extracted from the red deck. Another card is randomly picked, and its number noted (let’s say it’s 29).
The spectator now unveils the blue deck, counting down 29 cards... and voilà, the 29th card is the Two of Diamonds!
