Undercover Jumbo - The Elephant That Just VanishesHave you ever heard that ostriches bury their heads in the sand when they’re scared? Classic avoidance tactic. But elephants? They’ve got a trick or two up their sleeves: they actually know how to hide!Undercover Jumbo is the latest gem from Joker Magic, first unveiled at the Magic Live! convention in the USA. With a fun story that sticks, this elephant trick is a doddle to learn and packs a visual punch that’ll leave even seasoned magicians scratching their heads.
The elephant that truly disappears
The magician pulls out a tiny elephant and a playing card from a plush velvet bag. The elephant gets tucked behind the card, out of sight.
And the story unfolds.
As the magician explains, when there’s a hidden elephant about, park rangers put up warning signs to keep folks alert. A special warning sign is produced and plopped on the table.
But this elephant? It’s a bit of a rebel.
When danger lurks, it just vanishes.
The magician tilts the playing card...
...and poof! No elephant in sight!
Once the elephant feels safe again, it re-emerges from its secret spot — the magician reaches into the velvet bag and voilà, the little elephant is back in action.
And here’s the kicker: the magician doesn’t even touch the velvet bag while the elephant’s gone.
A simple story with an astonishing effect
One of the best bits about Undercover Jumbo is how the magic is wrapped around an easy-peasy and entertaining tale. The audience is right there with you, making the elephant's disappearance and comeback all the more mind-boggling.
Learning and performing the trick is a cinch, while the final reveal is seriously visual and genuinely jaw-dropping.
Best enjoyed from the front
Undercover Jumbo shines brightest when performed for an audience directly in front of you. From that angle, the elephant's disappearance is a real head-scratcher.
This makes it a top pick for close-up, parlor, and small audience gigs, as well as children’s and family shows.
Joker Magic quality
Sturdiness and reliability? Absolutely. Just like with all Joker Magic’s original props, Undercover Jumbo is built to last.
The props are tough, solid, and designed for regular use, delivering a routine you can rely on for years.
No need to hunt down extra bits and bobs: everything you need to pull off the trick is included.
Who is Undercover Jumbo for?
Undercover Jumbo is a brilliant fit for:
