The classic Ball & Vase routine goes a little something like this: the magician whips the ball out of the vase, pops it in their pocket, and—boom—it magically reappears in the vase. Simple, right? Well, not quite!
To jazz things up and keep the gimmick under wraps, we’ve made some nifty tweaks to the traditional version. After a bit of tinkering (and maybe a few late-night cups of tea), we’ve developed a shiny new method to control when the ball disappears and reappears, all while keeping the secret hidden. No more glaring gimmick giving you away; it’s all about smooth, natural movement (no one likes a suspicious magician, right?).
The first prototype took inspiration from the trio of gourd-shaped stone pagodas at The Three Pools Mirroring the Moon, one of West Lake's top ten scenic spots in Hangzhou, China. The interplay of the three pools, the moon, and the lake—illusion meets reality—perfectly mirrors the vanish, appearance, and transformation in Untrammelled.
The vase itself is crafted from Mufunjo Wood, giving it an antique, stately vibe that screams “I mean business.” And because it's solid wood, you can say goodbye to any wobbling or unwanted shifting—performance anxiety be gone!
You’ll find three small balls in the package: two beechwood balls (light brown) that are just right for weight and grip, plus a multi-faceted crystal glass ball that adds a sprinkle of starry magic to your presentation. (Talk about a showstopper!)
To keep your shiny new prop safe, it comes in an exclusive custom solid wood display box with a fancy clear sliding lid—perfect for showing off on your shelf or magic corner (because who doesn’t want to show off their magic wares?).
