History was made from September 2-6, 1982, in a little studio in St. John's, Newfoundland, where Dai Vernon's legendary life and magic were caught on film for all eternity (well, until the world ends, but let’s not think about that). This brainchild of Bill Larsen turned into a project run by Videonics, helmed by the ever-enthusiastic Hans Zahn, with magic wizards Michael Ammar, Gary Ouellet, and Steve Freeman sharing the spotlight.

Now, L & L Publishing has dusted off that original footage, given it a digital facelift, and released it across 8 downloadable gems. We can not only watch and listen to the Professor in action, but our great-grandkids and their kids will be able to learn from the greatest of all time—how’s that for a legacy?

Here’s the lowdown on what to expect:

* Think of it as a magic jam session where Vernon chats about his tricks, moves, and routines, while effortlessly holding court (no pressure, right?).
* Every trick, technique, and tip is demonstrated by Vernon or one of his co-hosts, complete with explanations—no magic smoke or mirrors here, folks.
* About half the material delves into the published works; the other half is fresh off the press (or, you know, camera).
* Prepare for some classic Vernon techniques with a twist, including brand new handlings of the famous Stars of Magic effects.
* You’ll even catch world-renowned routines like the Coins in Champagne Glass and the Fred Kaps Coins and Silk (Vernon’s brainchild, mind you).
* Get ready for some juicy insights into Erdnase techniques that Vernon has pored over for a lifetime—seriously, this is gold.

The aim of these videos? To capture Vernon live so magicians of the future can soak in his brilliance and charm (and maybe steal a trick or two).

No self-respecting magician should let these videos slip by. Dai Vernon, the Dean of modern magic, is spilling some serious wisdom on these tapes—don’t say we didn’t warn you!
