We’ve cherry-picked a couple of key cards, mainly the Queen of Hearts and the 4 of Clubs, giving you the freedom to mix and match effects like a pro. Plus, we've tossed in enough face cards of different values to let you spread the deck and show it’s all above board (as if that ever matters in magic).
We’ve designed this system with cutting-edge illusions while keeping the handling straightforward. Each effect is within reach with just a smidge of practice, no matter where you are on the magic spectrum. TUCK'D UP
Even the tuck case is a sneaky gaff! It lets you display an impossibly empty box before producing a full deck from within. Plus, there’s an extra gaff card that plays nice with the tuck, letting you transition this visual marvel from table to hand (and back again). Easy as pie, yet your audience will be left scratching their heads.
ANAMORPHIC ANIMATION
We’ve cranked up the Anamorphic Queen from the Optricks Red Deck. She now rises through the deck like it’s a stroll in the park. Lose her in the deck, cut to show her nestled in the middle, and then riffle to see her magically defy gravity! You can even use the varying depths to add layers to your Ambitious Card routine, among other delights!
ANAMORPHIC BLEND
Watch the Queen fade through the deck or pop into existence. Do a cheeky colour change to show her sinking into the deck before continuing your Anamorphic escapade. A card that opens up a world of possibilities, it plays well with many of the gaffs in this set.
DROP ZONE
This one uses the same depth perception wizardry as the Anamorphic Queen. And hey, we couldn’t leave out the Grinder Coin! Think of it as a Jay Sankey 'In a Flash' trick but without the risk of wrecking your favourite deck. This single card lets you show a coin dropping through the deck before revealing a chosen card or popping out the bottom. It’s all about that force perspective magic (and yes, a Morgan Dollar version is included).
OMNI COIN
See-through deck effect! Plonk a coin on your hand, cover it with the deck, and bam! The coin vanishes before your audience's very eyes. It can reappear wherever you fancy! Designed to work like a charm with Mechanics Grip, there’s also a card available without the coin to expand your options. And yes, it’s a Morgan Dollar — it just looks so darn good!
WARP DRIVE
A twisted warp card to spice up your Queen routine. Cut out the grey side pieces and watch the magic unfold! There’s a smorgasbord of sleights that allow you to spin the Queen, making it look like she’s melting and warping. Give it another twist, and she’s back to normal. We’ve included three warp cards of varying values for maximum flexibility.
SANDSPOSITION
A sandwich routine with a transpositional twist. Casually spread the sandwich both ways, and the 6 remains hidden (the 6 of Diamonds is a no-brainer for this one). A well-crafted handling results in a hyper-visual and utterly baffling effect.
BEHIND THE CURTAIN
Two distortion effects create the illusion of peeking behind the curtain to reveal the Queen in dramatic fashion. Simple colours allow for combining both gaff cards, the Queen, and basic sleights for a routine that packs a punch. It links beautifully with many other gaffs in the Visualies system.
U-TORN
Perform a Torn & Restored routine without any card casualties! You get the 'torn off' piece (and a spare) along with the magical card that makes it all work. Multiple presentation options mean you can keep it fresh and dynamic — it’s a fooler for sure!
SMASHED
Pull off a simple colour change and smash the Queen to bits. Perfect for adding some fun narrative and presentations. Designed to link with other Queen gaffs in this deck, like 'Behind the Curtain' or 'Off With Her Clothes'.
4xFOUR
Split the 4 into two twos while changing both size and value! Then, watch as those twos transform into the four Aces, shrinking to match their new value. Or just show the 4 of Clubs and — voilà! — it explodes into four mini Aces. So many possibilities using sleights you already know.
MINI ME
Built on the same idea as 4xFour, this offers three cards that you can halve, then halve again. Extend your Queen routine from a single trick into a full-blown performance. Multiple handlings mean everyone gets to shine with these gaffs.
TETRIX
An instant visual treat! Show the squares from the back exploding into the real world. A spare card is included, so you can cut out squares from the back design. This can also be combined with the back animation of the Optricks Red Deck for a real showstopper.
TWISTED KINGS
Inspired by the classic Twisting the Aces. With a few double-facers and a special 'spread' gaff, this sequence is achievable for any magician. No tricky sleight-of-hand needed — just a clever setup and simple handling to nail this routine with minimal practice.
TURBINE
Utilising perception distortion, reveal a force card like never before! Use your favourite force with the Queen of Hearts or 4 of Clubs, then show a bizarre-looking card that’s a jumble. Give it a blow or twist, and the card spins, magically revealing the one they were thinking of. A cheeky mix of physics, biology, and a sprinkle of magic.
'OFF WITH HER CLOTHES'
Show the Queen, then in a flash, make her clothes jump off onto another card! Put them back on in an instant (she’s getting shy, after all). This works with a paintbrush-style change and a simple card flip; a double backer helps you get in and out cleanly. A spare clothing card is included for an alternate presentation. Utterly ridiculous fun — prepare for some hilarious reactions!
TRIUMPHING
This is designed to provide that final convincer to any Triumph routine. With just a wee bit of 'stick', you can easily hide the card at the end. A carefully plotted handling and full Triumph routine is included. Uses the Queen and 4 again, making it a great card to experiment with and link to other gaffs — endless possibilities await. It’s the only card in the deck that requires the Optricks Red to pull off the Triumph routine.
