Voodoo Playing Cards - Emi Standard Edition

Meet the Voodoo Playing Cards - Emi Standard Edition

Die-cut Threshold Tuck Box
Right from the get-go, the first card's not hiding in the shadows; it’s practically waving at you. Our die-cut tuck box lets it peek out, inviting you into the mysterious unknown. Before you even crack open the deck, you’ve been summoned. A face. A symbol. A subtle welcome. Hold the box and feel the threshold give way (it’s like magic, but less dramatic).
There’s no wall here, just the guts to step through and see what’s lurking on the flip side.

Court Cards
Gaze into the moody black and ashy white palette of the court cards, and meet the archetypes, the guardians, and the nosy witnesses hanging around at the threshold. Each figure is backed by soft inverse blocks of colour, exuding quiet confidence. The Standard Edition court cards are a bit of a riddle. Flip them over and you’ll see their ghostly forms emerge, yet they’re still ready to play your favourite card games. No UV light needed—just turn the card and let their spectral essence shine through.

Number Cards
Now, the numbers aren’t just sitting pretty. Each pip and numeral looks like it’s been through a bit of a life (not unlike us all), appearing chipped, carved, and weathered by the sands of time (or at least a really good party). The expressive typeface echoes hand-stamped symbols, grounded in that charming washed black and ashy white.

Card Backs
Crafted for those who can appreciate the finer things in life, this deck showcases clay grey and obsidian black gilded edges. A simple riffle becomes a study in contrast: clay grey soft and matte like your mate's well-worn sofa, obsidian black polished and smooth like a fancy wine glass. Together, they create a rhythm that’s oddly soothing—one edge soaking it up, the other whispering back. A touch of earthy clay and the cool gaze of stone.

NOTE: This version IS NOT INCLUDED magnetic doll, collectable coin and flashlight (sold separately).
