Not your run-of-the-mill card trick, but rather a cheeky tale with a magical twist.
Picture this: 1914, Houdini strutting his stuff at the Hippodrome Theatre in New York City. The crowd was gobsmacked, but he never bothered to do it again (go figure!).
On stage, Masons built a brick wall. Houdini ducked behind a little screen, while the audience clutched their pearls, watching his every move. A heartbeat later, he reappeared on the other side of the wall, looking as smug as ever.
Now, I’m about to give this trick a whirl with a brick wall replica and a deck of cards. One lucky card gets picked and signed (don’t worry, it’s not a scam). That card goes back into the deck, which then gets tucked into the card box.
Now, that box of cards is placed on the brick wall replica.
The spectator yanks the card box away, lifts the cardboard wall, and voilà! Their signed card has magically passed through the wall (where’s the applause?).
Dead easy to perform. The clever mechanical deck does all the hard graft for you.
Complete with a mechanical deck, a cardboard brick wall, and an online instructional video—what’s not to love?
