Our magician kicks things off by announcing that the cheeky monkey has gone AWOL from the zoo, and it’s up to the audience to help track it down. When the bag is flipped inside out, the kids catch a glimpse of the monkey, but the magician? Completely oblivious. More animals pop up, one after another, yet the elusive monkey continues to be a no-show. Finally, the magician peeks into the bag and—bingo!—the audience sees the silhouette of the monkey, who’s clearly up to no good.
Just when you think it’s all over, the magician turns around, and lo and behold, the monkey is perched on his back! Alternatively, you can have the 2D cut-out monkey (included, of course) turn up on a spectator’s back or hiding just about anywhere else you fancy. Feel free to belt out the classic children’s tune "We’re going to the zoo!" or give a nod to the zoo-themed version of Old MacDonald (who knew, right?).
