ACE ASSEMBLIES

Let’s talk about the classic trick where the four Aces are dealt face down, three random cards are placed on each, and—voilà—the Aces magically gather in one of the piles. Traditionally, this gem is credited to the French magician Conus, and since its debut in 1853, magicians have been cranking out mind-blowing variations that continue to dazzle audiences.

VOLUME 1

In this download, you’ll get to hang out with six magicians, each bringing their own unique flavor to the Ace Assembly plot. First up is Bill Malone, who serves up a visual version with a method that’ll have you grinning like a Cheshire cat. Then, we have Bruce Cervon taking things up a notch with Aces featuring opposite-colored backs, while Alex Elmsley makes the Aces assemble right in a spectator's hand! Next, Dan Harlan presents a variation with oddly-backed Aces in a sequence so fair it looks like genuine magic. Simon Aronson then steps in to graphically illustrate why letting anyone touch your poker hand is a bad idea. Finally, James Swain wraps up this volume with a routine where a spectator actually gets to pick the packet into which the Aces assemble. Talk about a twist!

Hugard and Braue, in their classic tome, Expert Card Technique, said it best: "Of all the tricks with playing cards, as much thought has been expended on the Four Ace trick as on any other—and the performers and performances you'll watch and learn from on this download are ample evidence why."
