I’ve been using one of the performance options from Anything 2 Anywhere in my stand-up and stage shows for a whopping 25 years. Another version? It’s my go-to closer for the ambitious card routine and has been for the last two years. And let’s not forget Jumpin' Jack Flash, which I’ve seamlessly woven into the same routine, always eliciting an unexpected laugh. It’s these delightful surprises that’ll have folks talking about you for ages!
With Anything 2 Anywhere, you can make anything (as long as it’s on the smaller side) vanish and reappear in the most improbable of locations. Think signed folded cards, bills, coins, or rings—nothing is off the table! For my ambitious card finale, their signed card pops up from an envelope that’s been chilling in my VIP lanyard around my neck. For the stage version, I place a signed bill in one of three envelopes, mix them up, and let the spectator destroy two. They open the last one only to find a cheeky note saying 'Wrong'! Meanwhile, attention is drawn to a balloon that’s been on display the whole time. They see a plastic Kinder egg inside, and when that balloon goes pop, inside the egg is yet another envelope containing their signed bill! Now that’s what I call a reputation maker!
Now, let’s chat about Jumpin' Jack Flash. I usually throw this into my ambitious card routine when the spectator shuffles the deck. I ask, 'Could it be possible that your signed card is still on the top of the deck?' I then hinge the top card aside, and voilà! The Jack of Spades pops up in a delightful 3D manner, holding a message that reads 'Nope', 'Unfortunately Not', or 'Found it!'—your choice! Just scribble your own message on the included card, and you’re golden.
Oh, and there's an alternative performance option too, where the pop-up Jack can hold a tiny playing card of the one you've just forced!
