Here’s a taste of one of the effects you can pull off:
Card At Any Number
Start with a deck of cards shuffled by a few unsuspecting spectators, toss down a prediction card, and let it sit there like a champ.
Next, show off "the Awe-sum cube". It’s a regular 2x2 cube, but it’s got numbers on it (fancy, right?). You explain that the four numbers on one side can combine to generate a new number.
Give the cube a good mix-up, and voilà — you’ve got a different number. (A whopping 3,674,160 combinations if you’re counting.)
Let your spectator scramble the cube as much as they fancy, then they plonk it down on the table. Now, there’s one sneaky side that nobody can see — the bottom side (cue dramatic music).
Here’s the clever part: they add up the numbers and count that many cards from the deck. When they turn over the cube, revealing the numbers, they count down the cards and, lo and behold, it matches your prediction!
- Everything is up for examination.
- No duplicates, no sticky or roughing nonsense.
