Welcome to John Bannon's 'Sizzle' — a packet trick that’s as much a showstopper as it is a head-scratcher. With a jaw-dropping SIX phases, it will have your audience gasping right up to an ending so outlandish it might just cause a fainting spell.
SIZZLE - You kick things off by showing a packet of cards featuring three red-backed Jokers and an Ace of Spades. One of the Jokers is set aside, only to be swapped for a blue-backed Joker. In an instant, the remaining red-backed Jokers undergo a magical transformation, changing colour to match the new blue interloper. Next, one of the blue Jokers is replaced with a green-backed Joker, and guess what? The rest join in the fun and turn green too. As if by magic (spoiler: it is), a purple Joker comes along and turns the entire packet purple.
Now for the pièce de résistance: you reveal the Ace of Spades, only to show it has an ORANGE back design. But wait, there’s more! When you spread out the Jokers, each card flaunts a different colour back.
This bewildering sequence of visual changes will leave your audience utterly flabbergasted... and just when they think it can’t get any better, you flip the packet face up to reveal that every card has morphed into a ROYAL FLUSH IN SPADES!
