The routine/the effect:
Pull out your deck and give it a good show-off from front to back! It’s your standard deck—every card is a different one.
One lucky spectator gets to pick a card, and there’s absolutely no forcing involved!
They sign their card right on the face.
Then you lose it in the deck and just plonk the deck in the centre of the table.
Now, grab the top card and, right in front of your spectator, draw a cross with your trusty black marker!
The cross is as clear as day, and since the marker is indelible, it’s not going anywhere!
Hold your card close to the deck, encouraging your audience to admire the cross (it’s pretty hard to miss).
Now, give it a blow or snap your fingers, and—poof!—the cross disappears right before their eyes!
You’ve got to see it to believe it... the vanishing act is absolutely MIND-BLOWING!
If the CROSS has vanished from your card, it must have relocated...
Take the deck and, one by one, go through the cards, face down... no cross here, no cross there... until, lo and behold! One card shows a black cross! Check the rest of the deck—yep, only one card has a cross, and you guessed it... it’s the one your spectator freely picked and signed!
