Picture this: a spectator picks a card, rips it up (we’re not here to take care of their feelings), and keeps one piece for themselves. Meanwhile, you do your magician thing by making the rest vanish or, you know, burn it (no one’s judging). You then produce a perfectly sealed can (because who doesn't love a bit of mystery?). This can, along with a can opener, is handed over to a second spectator. They pop it open to discover a card inside with one corner missing – and surprise, surprise, it’s the exact piece the first spectator kept! Both the can and the card can be handed over as a memento (because why not?).
And yes, that can is properly sealed and is in full view the whole time. The spectator opens it. The corner matches the chosen card. Simple as that!
