Fechter's Finger Flicking Frolic, often known as the 4F Convention, is the granddaddy of close-up magic gatherings. This exclusive, invite-only shindig has drawn the crème de la crème of magicians from all corners of the globe. Back in 1982, a bunch of attendees decided to contribute their finest creations to a book dubbed Fork Full Of Appetizers, and in 1984, they did it again with a follow-up. Both volumes have been out of print for yonks, but now they’re back together in one shiny package.
The 73 contributors? A veritable who's who of close-up magic legends. Many of them have become titans in our field, and the genius behind the routines in this book are the very same tricks they’ve used to pay the bills. What’s even better is that most of the routines are written by their inventors—imagine hearing their voices guiding you through the magic (sounds posh, doesn’t it?).
