"This is really crazy Lars - I like your thinking"
- Dan Harlan

"Presenting Pi with playing cards levels-up an already super powerful feat of memory... creating true, mind-blowing magic. Lars, I love it!"
- Sarah Trustman

"Lars has done it again. When you combine memory with sleight of hand you have an unbeatable combination. Pi is just that. Here is a routine that can set you apart from others and guaranteed to impress laymen and magicians."
- Sal Piacente

3 different versions:

PI (Version 1)

Effect: Three cards are chosen by three spectators. They’re lost in the deck, and the magician finds each selection in a different way. The selections are a 3, an Ace, and a 4. The magician then points out the coincidence: these numbers echo the start of Pi—3.14. "I think I remember some of the numbers of Pi," he says.

Next, the magician asks a spectator to pull up an image of Pi featuring around 100 digits on their phone. He names some of the digits from Pi, revealing the corresponding cards/numbers one by one. The spectator can verify that these match the numbers on their phone, in perfect order: 3.14, 159265358979323846264. Finally, the magician declares, "I can't remember any more numbers, and it doesn't matter because the rest of the cards are blank," showcasing the remaining cards with no digits at all.

Pi With A Message (Version 2):

Same as Version 1 but with a twist at the end. You can write messages on the blank cards, allowing for a personalized closing line. Perhaps the name of your company, a “Happy Birthday” wish, or the reveal of a chosen card from another deck. Use a camera and a big screen for your next corporate gig, and end with the company name displayed on the last cards.

Extended version: The magician adds that all the blank cards have marks and implies there are 26 more numbers to reveal. That’ll require you to memorize a total of 47 digits. I’ve got a photographic memory to a degree and have committed 400 digits of Pi to memory. I don’t use memory maps for this, so I can’t explain how I do it, because honestly, I don’t know.

But hey, check out Sarah Trustman's release - mNumbers - A slice of Pi for a guide on memorizing up to 500 digits of Pi.

Pi - No Limitations (Version 3):

In this version, you can reveal the numbers in any way that tickles your fancy. There are also two methods that allow you to perform the routine without memorizing a thing.
