Drawing from the charm of vintage postage stamps and archival prints, this deck boasts intricate details that feel both timeless and well-loved (like that old cat you can’t bear to part with). This is the second release in the Neko series, following the Neko Samurai, which delved into the world of warriors and Japanese ceramics. Neko Royal takes a gentler route. It’s all about grace, poise, and the kind of elegance that makes you want to sit down with a cup of tea and ponder life’s mysteries.
The artwork flows in a structured rhythm, with patterns and borders that lend a serene sense of order (because chaos is overrated). The aim was to create something that feels like a hidden gem unearthed from an archive or a quirky addition to your shelf of oddities.
The cards are crafted on 330gsm German black-core embossed stock, featuring top-notch metallic ink. They’ve got a smooth butter finish that makes them tough enough to survive your shuffling habits, comfy to hold, and a breeze to play with. The tuck box is made from premium cardstock, adorned with hot foil accents and embossing—adding depth and texture that you can both see and feel (because who doesn’t love a bit of pizzazz?).
