History was made from September 2-6, 1982, in a not-so-humble filming studio in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, where the life and magic of Dai Vernon were recorded for posterity (yes, future generations, you’re welcome). Thanks to the inspiration of Bill Larsen and the hard work of Videonics, run by the ever-dedicated Hans Zahn, we have this treasure trove of knowledge. Co-hosts Michael Ammar, Gary Ouellet, and Steve Freeman were also along for the ride, making sure no stone was left unturned.
L & L Publishing has taken this original footage and given it a shiny digital makeover. Not only can we now watch the Professor in action, but our great-grandchildren will also learn the ropes from the greatest master of magic. How's that for a family legacy?
